Collaborative Art Exhibit at Olympia Fall Arts Walk

Coming soon to the Fall Olympia Arts Walk on October 3 and October 4! At two adjacent venues (111 Cherry St. and 520 4th Ave)
Plus extra events on October 5!
Art Exhibit and Musical Offerings featuring over 30 local artists,
Each piece of art will aim to stimulate conversation around death, dying, loss & living and inspire deeper thinking and contemplation about death, to help us prepare for it better.
Mediums included:
Ceramics, paintings, collage, paper mache, gouache, watercolors, quilting, embroidery, photography, film, sound, performance art, assemblages, mixed media, printmaking, drawings, sculptures, paper art, poetry, dance, music & song.
Will include a Griever's Grotto community memorial, Grief Talking Zone, Storybooth for our Death Stories Film Project, author and poetry readings, dance performances and live music.
ALL EVENTS ARE FREE BUT DONATIONS GRATEFULLY ACCEPTED

Sunday October 5:
9-10am - Death Meditation Immersive (with Bardo Drift) - laying down. Bring a yoga mat and things to make yourself comfortable. Some chairs available if you can't lay down. (ORJ)
10:30am-12pm - Song Circle for Healing & Life(with Fehlya Ehrlander of OlySongMama) - Some chairs available. Or bring a floor cushion. (ORJ)
12:15-1:45pm - Art Exhibit Open (BOTH OOG & ORJ)
2-4pm - Community Grief Gathering and Finale Event(Some chairs available. Or bring a floor cushion). Join us as we gather in community to acknowledge and witness our grief, both individual and collective. We will listen to reflections from various traditions and have time to interact with our Griever's Grotto memorial shrine. (Please note, the format will be different to our usual monthly Grief Gatherings). (ORJ)
